No. SokuPass stores your data encrypted only on your Mac, and there is no recovery server that we or anyone else can access. If you lose your master password without a backup, the data cannot be recovered.
We strongly recommend exporting an encrypted backup from Settings → Backup and keeping it somewhere safe.
Everything is stored on your Mac at ~/Library/Application Support/, encrypted with ChaCha20-Poly1305. SokuPass makes no network connections except Apple's StoreKit, so nothing is ever sent to the cloud or any external server.
There is no automatic cloud sync (by design, the app does not use the network). One Pro purchase covers every Mac signed into your Apple ID. To move data between Macs, export an encrypted .vaultbak backup and restore it on the other machine.
Nothing is locked away. Pro-only features (import, backup, unlimited editing) pause, and your vault stays fully readable. Buy SokuPass Pro anytime to re-enable them.
From Settings → Backup, export a single file (.vaultbak) encrypted with a password of your choice. Restore from the same screen. Keep the backup file safe yourself.
Use Settings → Import (a Pro/Trial feature). SokuPass reads .env files, generic CSV, and unencrypted Bitwarden JSON exports. Imports land in a new top-level folder, so nothing you already have is overwritten.
Purchases and refunds are handled by Apple (the App Store). To request a refund, use Apple's process at reportaproblem.apple.com. If a defect is the cause, please also let our support know and we'll help.
We typically reply within 2–3 business days. Including your macOS version and details helps.
