SokuPass runs entirely on your Mac. There is no account and no cloud sync, and the app makes no network connections other than Apple's StoreKit for purchases. Your secrets are stored encrypted on this device, and we have no way to access them.
1Our approach
SokuPass (the “App”) is a local-only password and secret manager for developers, published by Torquefull (“we”, “us”). The App is built on a “collect nothing” principle. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal information or usage data through the App.
2What we don't collect
The App does not collect any information, including:
- Personally identifiable information such as your name or email address;
- The contents of the credentials, passwords, keys, TOTP secrets, or notes you store;
- Usage, behavioral logs, or analytics / telemetry;
- Crash reports sent to any server we operate;
- Advertising identifiers or tracking cookies.
The App simply contains no facility to transmit your data to servers we operate.
3Where your data lives & encryption
All data you enter into the App is stored on your Mac at ~/Library/Application Support/ and sealed with authenticated encryption (ChaCha20-Poly1305). The key is derived from your master password using PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 with 600,000 iterations and a fresh salt per save. We hold neither your master password nor your encrypted data.
Consequently, if you lose your master password and have no backup, no one — including us — can recover your data. Please keep your own encrypted backup in a safe place.
4Network activity
The App offers no cloud sync, account authentication, or remote backup. Its only network activity is Apple's StoreKit, used to verify your purchase and manage the free trial. By design, your secrets never leave your device.
5About the App Store & Apple
The App is distributed and sold through the Mac App Store. Purchases, the free trial, and any refunds are processed by Apple Inc.; we do not receive your payment information or Apple ID. Apple's handling of information is governed by Apple's own privacy policy. What we receive from Apple is limited to aggregated, non-identifying sales and download statistics.
6Information when you contact us
If you email us for support, we use your email address and the contents of your message solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not use them for marketing or share them with third parties.
7Disclosure to third parties
Because the App collects no user data, there is no data to disclose to third parties. Even in response to a lawful request, we cannot produce your stored data, as we do not possess it.
8Children's privacy
The App is a professional tool for developers and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from users of any age.
9Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as needed. For material changes, we will revise the “Last updated” date on this page and, where appropriate, note it in the App or its App Store description.
